Praise the Lord! Pecan Pie
Approximately eight in 10 voters in yesterday’s Alabama and Mississippi presidential primaries identify themselves as evangelical Christians, according to exit polls, the highest percentage of evangelicals in any early voting state to date.

Praise the Lord! Pecan Pie
Evangelicals want a piece of the pie, and you will, too. It's so easy to be good!
1 cup light corn syrup
3 eggs
2 Tbsp. butter, melted
1 cup sugar
1 Tbsp. bourbon
1 tsp. vanilla extract
pinch salt
1-1/2 cups whole pecans
1 9-inch unbaked pie crust
Heat oven to 350ºF.
In medium bowl mix corn syrup, eggs, butter, sugar, bourbon, vanilla and salt. Stir in pecans; pour into crust.
Bake 1 hour to 1 hour 10 minutes or until center springs back when lightly touched with finger. Cool completely on wire rack before serving.
Tip:
Cover edges with foil if crust becomes too brown while baking.
